Dave Eckman
Austin artist and author Dave Eckman was introduced to the world of painting by his grandmother at the age of five, and found a passion that is still growing within him. After years of artistic endeavors, Dave decided to reach deep inside to express his individuality on his own terms. The foundation of this approach concentrates on the manipulation of color and composition to allow the viewer to experience Dave's art completely in the present, then draw their own interpretation of the subject matter in the aftermath. This theory has allowed for a very eclectic audience in age and culture in various countries.
Dave's work has been collected by patrons throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, England, Germany, Spain and Australia. His work is shown in numerous exhibits in Austin.
Dave applies his work to different facets of society in the form of paintings and books by creating what he refers to as "visual energy for the soul".

Kichea Burt
Born and raised in New Orleans, Kichea was surrounded by culture and traditions, good food, good music and good people. She says that she didn't truly come to appreciate the beauty of life in New Orleans until she had lived away for some years. Kichea shares that when she returned to New Orleans in the 90's, she had a primary photographic goal to capture and therefore document, the life and culture of her beautiful city. Wife of the late jazz great Eluard Burt, Kichea has a great affinity for musicians in performance.
Kichea states: "I tend to lean toward cultural and artistic subject matter, especially musicians in performance. For a photographer who enjoys performance portraiture, New Orleans is paradise. The creativity oozes up through the cracks in the sidewalk and I try to capture as much of it as I can manage with my camera. I hate it when I point a camera at someone and they strike a pose. In such instances I will usually put down my camera and wait."
