Friends and family celebrated our marriage with us in the heart of New Orleans, BJ's Lounge in the Bywater!!!
Captain Lee officiated at BJ's, Saturday afternoon December 29, 2012. We appreciate everyone's participation, from those who joined us from New York City, Boston, Washington DC, St. Louis, Oaxaca, Fort Worth, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, and Lafayette to New Orleans!
While the Ritz Carlton was home base, we enjoyed French food at Degas Cafe on Esplanade, Cajun at Elizabeth's in the Bywater, beignets and chicory coffee at Cafe Du Monde, Brennan's for their famous brunch, and Commander's Palace for jazz brunch. We found our personal treasure in a painting of El Arbol de la Vida at Mina and Berta's Antiquities Gallery on Magazine Street. Of course, our favorite home away from home-BJ's Lounge Bywater is calling us back for more Guitar Slim, Jr. and Little Freddie King.

Artist and Voodoo Priestess Reji Thomas
Full time artist, part time voodoo priestess, East Austin art activist Reji Thomas, led the entourage. A glorious new original painting provided the bride's wedding costume. What else, but a Reji Thomas painting! Reji has been a grand source of inspiration for Pamela and Javier. Many thanks!
From the glasswork throughout the Texas State Capitol, to the collections of Ann Richards, Barbara Jordan, B.B. King, The University of Texas, Holy Angels Catholic Church, the Mayor's Office of the City of Austin, Gifts from the Texas Governor's office to Mexico's President Carlos Salinas, the Queen of England, to the home of Javier and Pamela, Reji's work is dearly loved.
Pine Street Station, the studio of Reji Thomas, is the highlight of East Austin Studio Tour and
Austin's SXSW, hosting the Fader Fort. The Sunday HOPE Farmer's Market has been launched at the studio. Pine Street Station is the home base for Javier's Habitats for Nature .
